What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup, also known as micro-pigmentation, is a revolutionary method of depositing small amounts of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.

What are the benefits of permanent makeup?

Time is valuable.

Beyond the mere aesthetic value, with the savings in time, money , and daily frustration, it is easy to see why permanent cosmetics have been called the makeup of the future.

Is it safe?

Yes the procedure is safe, but like any permanent makeup procedures there is still risk of infection and allergic reactions (rare). However, if you have any underlying medical conditions or a compromised treatment area, you may not be a candidate for the procedure.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure:

  • Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before the procedure to maximize shaping options

  • Do not tan two weeks prior to the service, or have a sunburned face

  • Do not have any type of facial 2 weeks prior to the procedure

  • Do not work out the day of the procedure

  • Do not have botox 3 weeks prior to the procedure

  • Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior to the procedure (they are natural blood thinners)

  • Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days prior to the procedure.

  • Do not drink alcohol 24 - 48 hours before your tattoo

  • Do not consume caffeine before your procedure (Remember that tea has caffeine too!)

  • Do not take an Aspirin or Ibuprofen for pain relief (these also thin the blood)

  • Discontinue Glycolics, Chemical Peels and Retin-A 4 weeks prior.

  • Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to.

During your consultation we will determine which technique is best suited for your skin and lifestyle.

Do you do corrections?

Unfortunately, foreign touch ups will be considered a new appointment.

What is the walkthrough of a standard procedure?

How long will my procedure take? Is there downtime?

Time really depends on the procedure. But generally the amount of time is as follows:

No downtime! You can resume your daily activities however you must follow aftercare instructions, which is provided after your appointment!

Does it hurt?

Pain tolerance varies by person! Topical anesthetics are used during the procedure to minimize discomfort. It is advised that you schedule around your menstrual cycle because it can elevate the discomfort and weaken your pain tolerance.

What is your deposit or cancellation policy?

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Note: Upon booking your appointment a non-refundable fee of $100 will be needed to hold your appointment and will be deducted from the total of your services.

If you neglect to do so and show up with any condition that makes you an unsuitable client we will refuse service and you will lose your deposit. Failure to provide more than 72 hours notice of rescheduling will result in forfeiture of your deposit. A new deposit will be required for an additional booking. As everyone's time is valuable, it is important to make it on time to the appointment. Anyone who is late 15 minutes will be considered a no-show and will have their deposit forfeited. No exceptions. This is only fair to everybody and it keeps the scheduling on track. Please take into consideration possible traffic jams and road closures to ensure timely arrival.
